Hello, my name is Dayana and I am 26 years old. I have trained with Chris once before at a different gym for about a year and my goal was to get in shape and to tone up and he did a great job at that. I had to move and stopped training with him. I ended up moving back, got engaged and contacted Chris because I wanted to look great in my dress and in a bikini for vacation and I knew he would be the man to contact to make that happen.

Chris has always been great to train with because he understood exactly what I wanted and what he needed to do to make that happen. He made a meal plan for me and did an exercise program for my off days that helped a lot, and he has always taken the time to make a different schedule for every client according to there needs. Also always checking up on me to see how I was feeling. He really cares about each individual client. He has also always been in a great mood and motivating me to keep going to reach the goal, it was always a good time and great experience when training with him.
After two months I now feel confident and look great and I am super excited about the way I look in my weeding dress and the bikini, we defiantly reached the goal. It’s been great working with him and look forward to working with him in the future. Thanks Chris !!!

Throughout life we meet a lot of people. People you learn unpleasant lessons from, those that come and go, some you build friendships/relationships with, others that become family to you and individuals that change your life.

I met a person last year around this time that was genuine right from the moment we met. Not a single glimmer of doubt in his eyes when I walked into the gym to do my personal training internship hours. I was coming out of a difficult time in my life, still being overweight with a lot still to learn and he took me in and became my friend and mentor.

It wasn’t easy for me being shy and knowing that some people and the instructor were judging me when I walked into my personal training class; but because of the belief of this amazing person I had the courage to continue and keep pushing forward to live out what I want to do.

I love walking into the gym to train with him because I know I’m going to work hard and have an enjoyable experience. I’ve noticed significant progress physically, mentally, and emotionally. He makes me feel safe and comfortable. He makes me laugh and has compassion for me on days I’m not feeling well. He pushes me when I know I have more to give and brings out the badass in me.

His incredible strength pushes me to continue to be the best I can be. I can wholeheartedly say I don’t know where I would have been if he didn’t come into my life. That person is Chris Shimana. You have changed my life, and continue to do so. There is no amount of appreciation and thank-you’s I can say for how grateful and fortunate I am for you.

I am a 69-year young female who was predisposed to diabetes, high cholesterol, osteoporosis and hypertension.

My introduction to Chris was due to my fainting on a commercial gym floor where he was employed.  My assigned personal trainer, at the time, did not know what to do; so Chris was asked to help. He took my vitals and got me on my feet. (Thanks again Chris!!)

I am a firm believer that there are NO accidents. My then trainer’s schedule changed making it inconvenient to continue the contracted sessions. Thus, Chris was highly recommended as THE
replacement.

It was the easiest decision I have ever made.  One and a half years later, my doctor told me I was in the best health ever. My blood work proved this conclusion.

My overall objective was to lose body fat in my core area. Although weight was not my concern, I lost 10+ pounds and inches off my core area. Chris has sculpted my body, proportionally, to fit perfectly in a size 4.

I started retaining personal trainers in 1990 and can honestly say that Chris “leads the pack”. He is a genius in his field and an excellent motivator. Not only was he “presence of mind” during our sessions
but he provided information on what to do “exercise-wise” when we were not in session.

He is an overall humorous and likable guy. I can now enjoy my leisure years in good health and in the latest fashions.

I wanted to take a moment and thank Chris  for helping me get in the best shape that I have been in 15 years.  Chris has been working with me for 4 months and in the first month he was able to rehabilitate a shoulder injury that had hurt me every day for two years.   I thought that I needed it operated on and now it does not hurt and I have full motion. 

At age 60 I have more strength and stamina than I did when I was 45.  Our next goal is for me to loose some weight and Chris has put an exercise program together while coaching me to make small changes to my diet. 

 Also my wife has been watching what Chris has done and she has asked Chris to work with her. She is also 60 and has had past injuries. My name is Ingrid and I am 70 years old.  I want to thank you very much for helping me get well.  My shoulder replacement was in 2010 and I required physical therapy following the surgery.  I also underwent a hip replacement surgery 11 months ago and stayed in rehabilitation for 30 days with a follow-on outpatient program.  What you have done for me in the last 2 1/2 months is fantastic and I can use my shoulder to do many more things than I have in a long time.  My hip is much better and I feel better spiritually and mentally as well.  The way that you help people over the age of 65 is so great, you have that magic touch.  Without you my recovery would have taken a lot longer.

My name is Richard and I am 64 years of age and have been training with Chris for one year.  When I started my trainer with Chris I had a bad shoulder which was in constant pain and my range of motion was limited.  My shoulder is now much stronger, my range greatly improved and I experience no pain.

I am also a Type 2 Diabetic.  My previous A1C level was 11.0 and cholesterol levels were high. After following a vegan diet and a new workout program designed by Chris my A1C levels dropped to 6.3,  my good cholesterol raised to 61 and bad cholesterol dropped more than 50%.  During those six weeks I also lost an average of 2lbs per week for a total weight loss of 21 lbs.  My physician has taken me off some of my medications  and reduced all others to half-dosage.  My physician and his staff are extremely happy with the results and  I have tons of energy and stamina!    My current weight is 157lbs, down from an initial 178lbs.

As an additional goal, I retired from the United States Air Force in November 1992 and can now fit into my military uniform after more than 20 years in retirement.  Chris is an outstanding trainer with experience in rehabilitative exercises, fitness and strength and conditioning.  Due to his vast knowledge and experience he can work well with all ages.  I highly recommend Chris as a trainer to get anyone the desired results they are looking for.

My name is Rika. I am a 30 year old gal from Las Vegas that has been very blessed to have found Chris Shimana as my trainer, mentor, and friend.  I have been working with various trainers for many years and I have a medical background so I definitely interview and quiz trainers.
I have a history of shoulder issues and postural weaknesses so I needed someone that knows their stuff.   Chris definitely knows his stuff.  He tailored my workouts around my activities that I do when I am not training with him.  I have a CrossFit background and Chris understands CrossFit and other types of workouts.   The workouts are never boring always challenging.
Chris gives you a great workout  as well as help ease postural imbalances.  It was like having a trainer/physical therapist in one.  I am not over weight but I had a challenge at work and Chris restructured my workouts to help me lose the weight while keeping my lean muscle gains.
I have been training with Chris for almost a year now and have lost a total of 11 inches since I’ve been working with him.  Not only have I lost weight but my arms are much stronger and the discomfort in my right shoulder has decreased.
Workout with Chris you will not only get a great workout but you will get a great daily lesson on how your body moves and how it’s not supposed to move so you can apply it to your everyday life.

I wanted to write a note to both thank Chris and highly recommend him as a personal trainer. I worked with Chris for  6 months, training about once a week. Chris kept me motivated and accountable throughout a difficult transition in my life, when it would’ve been much easier to throw in the towel and stop exercising. He tailored my workouts for maximum time efficiency, taking into account my workout preferences.
 He is an excellent trainer, very knowledgeable about human anatomy and injury prevention/rehabilitation, and just an all-around pleasant person. I’ve been an athlete my entire life and thought I knew my limits, but Chris was able to see my potential even when I could not and challenged me every workout session. I was able to maintain my weight, reduce stress,  and saw more muscle definition after working with Chris.
